To enroll in Kairos University, learners undertake the following admission process:
- Complete and submit an application for admission.
- Pay the enrollment fee.
- Submit official transcripts from appropriate schools and providers. This is providing you desire a degree above a Completion Certificate.
- Submit Ministry and Life experience documents for evaluation if applying for life experience credit hours.
Upon receipt of these documents, Kairos University staff will review the documents and, upon approval, a letter of acceptance will be given.
The learner then will discuss with their councilor a Degree Completions Plan that will meet their needs and goals. The Degree Completion Plan acts as a guide for the learner. Courses will then be assigned.
Life Experience Credit
Units/Credits may be given, and/or somecourses may be waived, based on the “Life Experience” that the student has had or ministries in which he or she has been involved. Anyone who desires to receive credits based on their life experience will be asked to fill out a resume and present documentation of their ministry. The following guidelines have been established in credible academic circles of the maximum on credit for life experience:
Bachelor’s degree – 25% or 30 credit hours of study.
Masters degree – 25% or 8 credit hours of study.
Doctorate level of study – No life experience credit should be given.
Ministry Assignment “Lab Time”
Each student will be required to spend a minimum of 4 hours per week outside their classroom work in practical ministry. Students will be assigned specific duties in their local church or ministry and evaluated by the leader of that department or ministry. A weekly report form will be submitted at the beginning of each class. This “Lab Time” will be considered a class time and will be graded accordingly.
Transferring College Credit
Kairos University will evaluate and determine every transferable credit earned by a student to allow them every possible credit toward their degree. If you have attended any college, university, trade school, etc., and desire an evaluation of credits earned, contact each institution and request a copy of your transcript be sent to:

Academics:
Registration and Application Fee (one-time cost, non-refundable)
Per Credit Hour Fee $30.00
Graduate Dissertation Fee: $240.00
Graduation Fee $75.00
Transcript Fee $10.00
Course fees must be paid by the start of the second session for that course. Fees are non-refundable once the course begins. Textbooks are separate and the responsibility of the student. If any student is in financial difficulty and finds it impossible to satisfy the above fees, please consult the Dean of Admissions.
Fees may vary from country to country depending on the economic structure of that country.
Course Completion Requirements
Each student is allowed up to 3 absences (unexcused or excused). More than 3 absences will prevent the student from receiving completion units for the course. The Dean of Admissions will take any extenuating circumstances under review. Each student is required to complete any and all homework, reports or other assignments administered during the course. Each student is required to achieve a passing grade of 70% on each course. System of grading is as follows:
95-100 = A+ = 4.00 GPA
90-94 = A = 3.50 GPA
85-89 = B+ = 3.00 GPA
80-84 = B = 2.50 GPA
75-79 = C+ = 2.00 GPA
70-74 = C = 1.50 GPA
0-69 I/W = incomplete/Withdrawn = 0 GPA
69% and below shall not be considered a passing grade. Should a student not achieve a passing / acceptable grade in any course, special assistance and encouragement will be provided on an individual basis.
